The Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga is again carrying out the 4th international short course (ISC) agenda. This activity is an international scale activity which is a routine agenda every year. The current digital era is characterized by the emergence of new companies that take advantage of technological developments. Fintech is an alternative investment that presents options for investors who have the desire to access financial services in a practical, efficient, comfortable and economical way. The existence of FinTech greatly influences the lifestyle of economic society. The combination of effectiveness and technology has a positive impact on society in general. As digital finance continues to revolutionize the global financial landscape, it is important to consider its implications within the Islamic worldview. With the integration of technology, Islamic financial institutions are increasingly adopting digital platforms to provide services that align with Islamic principles. However, this transition also requires addressing important aspects such as cybersecurity and data protection to maintain the integrity, confidentiality and trustworthiness of financial transactions.

In this course, we will explore the increasing role of digital finance, cybersecurity, and data protection in the Islamic worldview. Based on the activities of the 4th International Short Course (ISC) in 2023, the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga will be a good forum for sharing knowledge in the field of Islamic digital finance, Islamic worldview, crypto assets and stable coins, financial crime, cyber security, data protection laws, central bank digital currencies as well as digital banking transformation. The 4th International Short Course (ISC) activity in 2023 was also attended by participants from several countries, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Madagascar, Tanzania, India and Brunei Darussalam, Bangladesh.
